Finance Transformation Business Architect - 6+ months

We're currently supporting a leading international digital platform organisation undergoing a large-scale Finance Transformation and SAP modernisation journey.

They are looking for an experienced Finance Business Architect to help define and optimise Finance capabilities, processes, and operating models across a complex global environment. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Architecture, acting as the business-side counterpart to Enterprise and Solution Architects.

This is a business-focused role for someone with deep Finance process expertise, rather than a technical SAP architecture background.

What you'll be doing

• Design and optimise end-to-end finance processes across R2R, O2C, P2P, Treasury, Billing, and Financial Close.
• Define future-state finance capabilities and target operating models.
• Drive finance process standardisation, automation, scalability, and efficiency.
• Assess impacts on accounting, reporting, controls, P&L, and balance sheet outcomes.
• Act as the finance representative in transformation and architecture discussions.
• Translate business requirements into finance capability and operating model needs.
• Partner with Enterprise and Solution Architects on transformation initiatives.
• Support finance modernisation and ERP-enabled transformation programmes.
• Lead finance process harmonisation across business units and entities.
• Develop and implement future-state finance operating models.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate core finance activities.
• Support financial close acceleration and operational excellence initiatives.

Requiered experiencie

• 10+ years' experience in Finance Transformation, Finance Operations, Business Architecture, or ERP-enabled finance programmes.
• Deep expertise across finance operating models and end-to-end finance processes.
• Proven experience delivering finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong background in target operating model and capability design.
• Experience within large-scale ERP or SAP-enabled transformation programmes.
• Ability to influence senior finance stakeholders and architecture teams.
• Strong understanding of accounting, controls, reporting, revenue recognition, balance sheet, and P&L impacts.
