The Business Reporting Lead is the single point of accountability from the business side for defining, validating, and aligning all reporting requirements across SIT, UAT, and post-go‑live operations. This role ensures that reporting needs are fully understood, documented, prioritised, and translated into actionable specifications for the project team, guaranteeing that SPBT reporting supports decision‑making, financial accuracy, and operational visibility from Day 1.

The SPBT Business Reporting Lead owns the end‑to‑end reporting landscape, ensuring that all business reporting requirements-operational, financial, compliance, and management-are captured, aligned, tested, and ready for go‑live. They work closely with process owners, data teams, IT reporting teams, and project leadership to ensure that reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data models reflect the true business needs of the BU. During SIT and UAT, they validate report outputs, resolve defects, and ensure data consistency. Post go‑live, they support stabilisation, monitor reporting performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities (Condensed)

During SIT Cycle 2

  • Consolidate and validate all reporting requirements across BUs.
  • Ensure test data and master data support reporting scenarios.
  • Review early report outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business logic.
  • Identify gaps and work with IT/reporting teams to refine specifications.

During UAT

  • Lead business validation of all company reports, dashboards, KPIs, and extracts.
  • Ensure reports reflect correct business rules, hierarchies, and data mappings.
  • Coordinate defect resolution and retesting.
  • Provide sign‑off on reporting readiness for cutover.

During Cutover & Go‑Live

  • Validate migrated data and ensure reporting structures (profit centers, WBS, materials, customers, etc.) are correctly aligned.
  • Support Day‑1 readiness by ensuring critical reports are functioning and accessible.
  • Act as the reporting escalation point during hypercare.

Post Go‑Live (Stabilisation)

  • Monitor reporting accuracy, performance, and adoption.
  • Resolve reporting issues impacting operations or financial close.
  • Drive enhancements and continuous improvement.
  • Transition reporting governance to BAU teams.
