Senior SAP Finance Business Architect - Netherlands - 6+ months

We're currently supporting a leading international platform organisation undergoing a large-scale Finance Transformation and SAP modernisation journey.

They are looking for an experienced Finance Business Architect to help define and optimise Finance capabilities, processes, and operating models across a complex global environment. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Architecture, acting as the business-side counterpart to Enterprise and Solution Architects.

This is a business-focused role for someone with deep Finance process expertise, rather than a technical SAP architecture background.

What you'll be doing

* Design and optimise end-to-end Finance processes across Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Treasury, Billing, and Financial Close

* Define future-state Finance capabilities and operating models

* Act as the Finance counterpart to Enterprise and Solution Architects during transformation initiatives

* Create and improve cross-functional Finance process cycles, ensuring alignment across multiple Finance domains

* Support strategic transformation projects within a broader RISE with SAP environment

* Drive process standardisation, simplification, and automation initiatives

* Improve Financial Close performance, including initiatives aimed at accelerating close cycles (e.g. moving from a traditional 4-day close towards a 2-day or continuous close model)

* Translate Finance, Accounting, and Reporting requirements into scalable business solutions

* Collaborate closely with Controllers, Accounting teams, FP&A, SMEs, Product, and Architecture teams

* Help improve programme delivery speed through better Finance process design and business architecture

What we're looking for

* 10+ years of experience in Finance Transformation, Finance Operations, Process Architecture, or Finance Change programmes

* Strong expertise across

• Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Order-to-Cash (OTC/O2C)
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Treasury
• Billing
• Financial Close

* Strong understanding of:

• Balance Sheet processes
• Financial Reporting
• Reconciliations
• Financial Controls
• Accounting impacts across end-to-end process flows

* Experience working in SAP-enabled environments, ideally involving SAP S/4HANA and/or RISE with SAP

* Ability to bridge Finance, Business, and Architecture stakeholders

* Proven experience designing target-state processes, capabilities, and operating models
