SAP S/4HANA Cutover Lead - Life Sciences

Overview

We are supporting a global enterprise transformation programme seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead cutover planning and execution for a large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployment.

This is a highly visible delivery role focused on ensuring a controlled, low-risk transition from legacy systems into S/4HANA. The successful candidate will act as the central coordinator across business and IT workstreams, driving readiness, dependency management, cutover governance, and go-live execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the end-to-end cutover strategy and governance model
• Develop and manage the integrated master cutover plan across all workstreams
• Coordinate technical, business, data migration, and integration activities
• Lead cutover rehearsals, mock cutovers, and readiness assessments
• Manage critical-path activities, dependencies, risks, and escalations
• Drive go/no-go decision-making with programme leadership
• Facilitate command centre activities during cutover and go-live
• Ensure alignment across business, IT, vendors, and external partners
• Support hypercare planning and transition to business-as-usual operations
• Provide executive-level reporting and stakeholder communication

Required Experience

• 7+ years of enterprise IT project or programme delivery experience
• 3+ years leading cutover, deployment, or go-live activities within large ERP programmes
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
• Strong understanding of data migration and systems integration
• Experience managing complex interdependent workstreams
• Proven track record delivering successful ERP go-lives
• Strong stakeholder management skills across business and IT leadership
• Experience working within structured project methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Pharma, FMCG, or Supply Chain environments
• Multi-country or global SAP deployments
• Experience working with command-centre and hypercare models
• SAP ECC to S/4HANA and Legacy ERP to S4HANA transformation programmes
• Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
