MES Business Analyst - Remote

Global Enterprise Partners is looking for an MES Business Analyst, to join our multinational client in a long-term assignment.

You will be working on a cloud-based platform that creates a digital identity for each physical product, connecting data from manufacturing (MES), suppliers, and quality systems into a single view. It:

• Enables full traceability from components and production to final delivery
• Connects manufacturing, quality, and lifecycle data across systems
• Supports fast identification of affected units in case of quality issues

The goal is to build a global digital backbone for traceability and quality, enabling better root cause analysis to increase quality, compliance, and data-driven decisions across the value chain.

Role Summary

The Business Analyst acts as a key link between business and delivery teams, leading the understanding of business problems and driving the definition and execution of solutions. This role combines strong business analysis expertise with facilitation and coordination capabilities, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and enabling efficient product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Problem Definition

• Identify, analyze, and clearly define business needs and problems
• Lead requirements elicitation using workshops, interviews, and data analysis
• Translate business context into structured, actionable requirements
• Challenge assumptions and ensure focus on real business value

Stakeholder Management & Alignment

• Align business stakeholders, product teams, and developers
• Act as the main communication bridge across teams
• Facilitate decision-making and resolve ambiguities

Backlog & Delivery Support

• Own and structure the product backlog (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria)
• Ensure backlog readiness and prioritization aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with Product Leads and Tech Leads to drive delivery

Refinement & Implementation

• Lead backlog refinement sessions with developers
• Ensure requirements are clear, feasible, and testable
• Support development teams during implementation and clarify requirements

Testing, UAT & Adoption

• Define acceptance criteria and support test scenarios
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders
• Ensure solution adoption and alignment with business expectations

Required Skills & Experience

Core BA Skills

• Experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
• Ability to define business problems and target outcomes
• Experience facilitating workshops and driving stakeholder alignment
• Strong communication and influencing skills

Delivery & Coordination

• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (business + tech)
• Ability to lead refinements and support agile delivery
• Good understanding of product lifecycle and delivery processes

Tools & Practices

• Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
• Strong knowledge of:
• User stories & acceptance criteria
• Backlog prioritization
• UAT and validation processes
• Product adoption practices

Profile We Are Looking For

• Proactive and hands-on mindset
• Strong ownership and leadership without formal authority
• Structured thinker, able to simplify complex topics
• Comfortable challenging stakeholders and guiding discussions
• A hybrid profile between Business Analyst and Project/Product coordination

Nice to Have

• CBAP or BABOK knowledge
• Experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a fast-paced or tech-driven environment.

MES Business Analyst details:

• Start date: ASAP (July also possible)
• Location: Remote (Europe-based)
• Duration: 12 months
