MES & SAP Project Manager - 12+ months - freelance - hybrid

We are looking for an MES & SAP Project Manager based in China to join a global manufacturing client. This role will lead a complex multi-plant programme, with a strong focus on MES delivery and SAP integration.

Requirements:

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across international teams (Europe & Asia)

* Ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear, simple and consice way

* Experience on MES integration with SAP (PP, QM, and related modules), including multi-plant rollouts is a must.

* Experience working in China and with Chinese stakeholders + manufacturing sites and/or APAC projects

* Hands-on mindset with the ability to understand technical details beyond project governance

* Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and cloud solutions

* Ability to challenge solutions and collaborate closely with architecture teams

* Experience in coordinating multiple workstreams (SAP, MES, infrastructure)

* Knowledge of MES HYDRA is highly desirable

* Experience with template-based rollout projects

* Exposure to highly automated production environments and shopfloor integrations

* Interest or experience in innovation topics such as POCs or AI

* Location: Hybrid with ocassional traveling to Shanghai, China
