Manufacturing (MES) Analyst - Remote - Europe - Freelance

A global industrial manufacturing organisation is driving a major digital transformation, building solutions such as a Digital Passport System (DPS) and Digital Factory to enable end-to-end product traceability.

DPS is a cloud-based platform that creates a digital identity for each physical product, connecting data from manufacturing (MES), suppliers, and quality systems into a single view. It enables full lifecycle traceability, supports quality issue resolution, and drives better data-led decision-making.

We are looking for a proactive BA to bridge business and delivery teams, driving clarity, alignment, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and define business needs and problems
• Lead workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirements elicitation
• Translate needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Act as the link between business, product, and engineering teams
• Own and structure the product backlog (epics, stories, priorities)
• Support Agile delivery (refinement, prioritisation, coordination)
• Drive UAT, validation, and solution adoption

Requirements

• Experience in digital manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments
• Strong experience in Business Analysis and requirements gathering
• Proven ability to align stakeholders across business and tech teams
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Hands-on with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of user stories, backlog management, and UAT
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Proactive, hands-on, ownership mindset
• Structured thinker who simplifies complexity
• Confident in challenging stakeholders and driving clarity
• Hybrid profile across Business Analysis and delivery coordination
• CBAP / BABOK knowledge would be a plus
