Senior Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale IT separation and transformation program within the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector.

This role will focus on managing the carve-out of an existing IT landscape, assessing current systems, and driving the redesign, simplification, and optimisation of applications and processes as part of a divestiture/spin-off program.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a complex IT separation (divestiture/spin-off) program end-to-end
  • Oversee the carve-out of IT systems and infrastructure from an existing global environment
  • Assess the current application landscape (300-400 applications) and drive rationalisation to a streamlined target state (~150 applications)
  • Work with business stakeholders to evaluate and redesign systems across:
    • Supply Chain & Logistics
    • Planning
    • Finance and core business functions
  • Define and execute the target IT architecture and roadmap post-separation
  • Manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders across multiple regions
  • Ensure clear governance, timelines, and delivery milestones are met
  • Drive risk management, issue resolution, and decision-making throughout the program

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project/Program Manager on large-scale IT transformation programs
  • Strong background in pharma or healthcare industry (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • IT separations / carve-outs / divestitures / spin-offs
    • Complex IT landscape transformations
    • Application rationalisation and optimisation
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments (applications, infrastructure, integrations)
  • Experience managing global stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to drive strategic decisions while managing hands-on delivery

Language & Location

  • Fluent Mandarin and English (mandatory)
  • Flexible location (not required to be based in China)
  • Willingness to travel to Shanghai or Chengdu as needed
  • Hybrid working model: 1-2 days onsite

Contract Details

  • Start: ASAP
  • Duration: 6 months with possible extensions
  • Engagement: Full-time contract
