Director eCommerce - Tokyo

Global Enterprise Partners is looking for a Director eCommerce to support our fashion client in Japan. The role combines commercial ownership, team leadership, and performance-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own digital commerce performance, revenue and key business KPIs.
• Drive growth across owned eCommerce channels and online marketplaces.
• Lead commercial trading, forecasting and performance reviews.
• Manage and develop a cross-functional eCommerce team.
• Oversee digital acquisition and performance marketing activities.
• Partner with local and global stakeholders across Marketing, IT, Finance and Supply Chain.
• Ensure business continuity and prepare a structured handover to a permanent successor.

Required Experience:

• Senior eCommerce / Digital Commerce leadership experience within Japan.
• Strong commercial mindset with P&L and KPI ownership.
• Proven track record driving revenue, conversion, customer acquisition and retention.
• Experience managing major online marketplaces and DTC channels.
• Strong understanding of performance marketing, CRM and omnichannel commerce.
• Experience leading medium to large teams in a consumer-facing environment.
• Fluent Japanese and English.

Must:

• Consumer goods, retail, fashion, lifestyle or beauty background,
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce, CRM or Loyalty ecosystems,
• Previous interim, transformation or turnaround leadership experience.
