The client, a leading company in the FMCG sector, is seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join their growing data team and help drive data driven decision making across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate or an early career professional with a strong analytical mindset, a passion for data, and a solid foundation in statistics, machine learning, and programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights
- Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to solve business challenges
- Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to support data driven decision making
- Extract, clean, and transform data using SQL and Python
- Build data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
- Support the development and maintenance of data science and analytics applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within the data team
- Document methodologies, processes, and analytical results
Profile & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of statistics, including probability, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms (supervised and unsupervised learning)
- Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit learn, and Matplotlib
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and manipulation
- Familiarity with Git and Streamlit
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a data driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Relevant internship, academic, or project experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning is preferred
- Exposure to data visualization tools, cloud technologies, or Agile methodologies is considered a plus
