Business Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Project Manager to support a global SAP S/4HANA rollout in India, partnering closely with the technical project team.

This role is business-facing, focusing on driving alignment across finance and business functions, ensuring successful localization, user adoption, and project delivery from a business perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the business lead for the SAP S/4HANA rollout in India
• Collaborate with the Technical PM while owning business-side delivery
• Partner with Finance, Tax, and Regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance with Indian localization requirements
• Lead change management, user adoption, and business readiness
• Oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure business sign-off
• Manage communication with senior stakeholders, key users, and cross-functional teams
• Drive issue resolution from a business process perspective

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Project Manager (not purely IT-focused)
• Strong track record working on SAP (preferably S/4HANA) transformation projects
• Background in Finance / Accounting / Tax / Compliance is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of India localization (taxation, statutory requirements, regulatory environment)
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Change management
  • Business process design
  • UAT / testing coordination
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to influence non-technical business teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with global SAP rollouts
• Experience working in matrix/global organizations
• Exposure to Finance transformation programs

What We're NOT Looking For

• Pure IT Project Managers with limited business exposure
• Candidates focused primarily on technical delivery or system implementation
